This stunning photo of a bighorn sheep symbolizes the festival held in Georgetown every year. Held on November 12, visitors to the llop can take a lovely train ride and visit with the Colorado Division of Wildlife to hear all about the animal that makes its home in the Rocky Mountains and Clear Creek County.

Join us as the Colorado Division of Wildlife boards the train to talk about our famous Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. During this time of year, the bighorns start heading down the valley for warmer environments for the winter. They love to spend time just across I-70 from Georgetown. A special viewing area is set up just north of Georgetown next to the lake.
